4 inspiring patient stories

Dr. Juan Arturo Morales Aguirre

"My husband and I have traveled a long and difficult road trying to have a baby. We underwent various treatments to address the timely diagnosis provided by Doctor Arturo.

Many times we went through fatigue, disappointment, pain, and sadness, but we never gave up and always trusted in the work being done.

Thanks to the work of the Ventris team, today we can say that we are very excited, expecting a baby.

To those who want to be mothers, to all couples going through illnesses or situations imposed by nature itself, do not give up. Keep trying, trust the process, and have patience and much faith; everything arrives in its own time. What seemed impossible for us is now a reality, and I hope it will be the same for all who dream of having a family".

" We arrived at Ventris in 2017, filled with hope, and fear, but with a lot of faith. After several attempts, we finally got the long-awaited positive result in August 2019. Now our little girl is about to turn 4 years old. We will be forever grateful to Doctor Arturo and the entire team".

"Ventris was our hope to make our dream come true after 10 years. After so much time, our family will finally be a family of four.

Thank you for making this process not difficult, on the contrary, we always walked with faith in God, knowing that He sent us to the right people."

"This was our journey with Ventris:

In the year 2022, around July, after 7 years of marriage during which we couldn't achieve a pregnancy, my husband and I decided to seek out a fertility specialist to see if everything was alright.

That's when we found Doctor Arturo Morales, who after several tests told us that everything looked fine with both of us, but my thyroid stimulating hormone was a bit low. He prescribed me a medication, which I wouldn't stop until achieving pregnancy. He also mentioned that there were several methods to achieve pregnancy, and we opted for timed intercourse for two months (August and September), but we didn't succeed.

After that method, there was artificial insemination and IVF, but my husband and I decided to wait until the beginning of 2023. During those waiting months, I told my husband that I preferred to skip artificial insemination and go straight to IVF, where there was a higher success rate, because for those of us who have had or have trouble getting pregnant, we know how difficult this process is and how distressing the waiting can be, and I didn't want that.

The new year came, and in February we scheduled our appointment to resume treatment. We told the doctor our decision, and he provided us with all the necessary information. I underwent tests again, as several months had passed since the previous ones. My thyroid stimulating hormone was better, but the doctor told me not to stop the medication, even if my hormone levels were better. Everything was ready to start IVF, which was scheduled for April. I was just waiting for my period in March to start the medication we had already bought.

Since I have irregular periods, I also had medication in case I didn't get my period that month, but I didn't get it. For me, it was normal, so I took the medication to induce menstruation, which was supposed to take effect in 3 to 5 days, but it didn't work. I contacted the doctor to let him know that I still hadn't gotten my period and to ask if I should take anything else. He told me no, that I had to come in for a check-up to see what was happening.

On March 17th, I went, and he told me that my endometrium was thickened. I didn't know what that meant, and he asked me, "Have you taken a pregnancy test?" and I said, "Yes, last week," but it came out negative. He gave me a test there in the office, but I couldn't urinate, and he said, "Take it with you, do it when you can."

After that, we went out to eat, and I took the test. There was a second line so faint that it was very doubtful. I contacted Ventris, and they told me, "You're probably pregnant, the doctor wants you to come back in a week." Obviously, I couldn't wait a week, and I think I took tests every day, and they were all positive until the day of the long-awaited ultrasound arrived, and we received the long-awaited news. I was pregnant, after 7 years of trying and just weeks away from IVF, today, thanks to God and Doctor Arturo Morales because without his diagnosis of my low thyroid stimulating hormone, perhaps I would never have been able to get pregnant, and today we wouldn't have our beautiful princess at home".
